I am writing on behalf of the Horsham Society to object to this
application. The property in question is one
of four very prominent, and hitherto
unspoilt, buildings at the entrance to the
London Road Conservation Area and together
they form a very important feature which
must be protected from inappropriate
development. The insertion of dormer windows
on the front elevation would be an
inappropriate and unduly prominent
alteration to the appearance of the
building. Furthermore, it is not clear from
the plans that the existing low pitch to the
roof would allow enough height to construct
the proposed rooms within the space
available without lifting the roof level
which would also be inappropriate. John
