I am writing on behalf of the Horsham Society to object to this
application. Percy Road is one of the last
unspoilt Victorian streets in the town and
has not been disfigured by front facing
dormer windows. It's special character is
referenced on page 11 of the Horsham Town
Design Statement SPD (Character Area -
Trafalgar Road and surroundings). See also,
page 30: Alterations Guidance which states
"Dormers at the front should only be used if
in keeping with the street scene". It is
very important that such street scenes
should be protected from inappropriate
development. The application for front
facing dormer windows should be refused/
