Comments:

I am writing on behalf of the Horsham Society to object to this application. Our primary concern is the addition of the metal railings to the top of the existing wall fronting North Street. At this point North Street drops by several feet towards the Albion Way junction and the addition of railings atop the wall will be very unsightly and overbearing in this prominent town centre location. Whilst we have no objection to the proposed change of use in principle the road layout does support the proposed business. Vehicles leaving the site will have to turn right onto Wellington Road (which is one way east, travel round in a square to emerge from Norfolk Road where it must turn left again. While the number of vehicle movements may not be too great this very limited egress is likely to encourage drivers to make illegal or undesirable manoeuvres.
