I am writing on behalf of the Horsham Society to object strongly to this application. It would be quite inappropriate to permit illuminated signs facing on to Harwood Road as it would seriously damage the street scene and the general green ambience of this link road. The fact that the lower branches of the roadside conifers planted to screen the industrial estate from Harwood Road have at some time been wilfully and badly pruned thus exposing the site makes matters worse. This present eyesore would be significantly worsened by the approval of this application. John Steele Secretary, Planning Sub Committee
