I am writing on behalf of the Horsham Society to object strongly to this application. The proposed development, replacing as it would the current single storey building with one of two storeys, would be out of keeping with surrounding buildings, and significantly in front of the main building line on that side of the road. It would also be overbearing in relation to its prominent position on the frontage of one of the town's principal entry routes and thus be detrimental to the visual amenity.
