Comments:

I am writing on behalf of the Horsham Society to object to this application on the grounds that it is clear that more work needs to be done on the car park management plan before it can be approved. The Society, and WSCC, have both been concerned from the start that the size of the car park will be inadequate and it is therefore essential that there is confidence in the management plan. The issues raised by Garry Mortimer-Cook regarding the use of ANPR technology are important and need to be resolved. However the over-riding requirement is that there is a workable solution that allows shoppers at John Lewis and Waitrose to benefit from two hours free parking. Motion need to demonstrate that this would be workable under a ANPR system or the Council must drop this requirement.
