I am writing on behalf of the Horsham Society to object to this application on the following grounds. This is a semi-detached property of pleasing design which forms part of a larger number of similar properties which feature in the Horsham Town Design Statement SPD as a good example of typical 1930s design. It is important that no changes are made to the appearance of the building from the road as this would have an adverse effect on the overall street scene. The design as proposed would be clearly visible from the front and side and would be seriously detrimental to the street scene and integrity of this group of houses.
