I am writing on behalf of the Horsham Society to object most strongly to this application. Such an incursion into the Park would be completely unacceptable, ruining the peaceful setting and parkland views, and destroying its character. When the Pavilions in the Park was built assurances were given that there would be no further encroachment on the Park and that it would be screened by trees, two of which it is now proposed should be removed. If the District needs such a facility it would be far more appropriate for it to be located at the new Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre. We ask that the application be referred to the Development Control Committee and wish to speak against it. John Steele Secretary, Planning Sub Committee
