Comments:

I am writing on behalf of the Horsham Society to object strongly to the beacon sign which we note has been erected before obtaining planning consent. It is far too tall and therefore out of keeping with its setting in front of the imposing Victorian station hotel and opposite the Grade II Listed station, and in a location which the Horsham Society has recommended should be designated as a conservation area. The illumination at night compounds the problem and additionally creates a visual distraction at what is already a poorly designed junction. John Steele Secretary, Planning Sub Committee
