I am writing on behalf of the Horsham Society. We
are always concerned when owners of large trees
which were deliberately left intact as part of a
redevelopment seek to remove or reduce them.
Because of their height and spread such trees
perform a particularly valuable role in enhancing
the overall street scene, often framing views from
a considerable distance. Ideally such trees should
be undisturbed but were the Council minded to
approve surgery in this case we ask that it should
be a little as possible and it should seek to
retain the overall shape and proportion of the
tree. John Steele Secretary. Planning Sub
