I am writing on behalf of the Horsham Society to
object to this application. The building in
question is visually a very important feature of
the Conservation Area, both in terms of its
inherent quality and prominent location. We
consider that the proposed sign C would be
visually intrusive and unsuitable for this
location. Furthermore, with the other proposed
signage (to which we raise no objection) it is
unnecessary as far as public identification of the
premises is concerned. It would therefore amount
to an advertising sign and thus be inappropriate
in the Conservation Area. John Steele Secretary,
