I am writing on behalf of the Horsham Society to
object to this application. The proposal to
incorporate this piece of land within the fenced
garden of 6 Rowan Way would be detrimental to
character of the overall development and
streetscape. It is clear that the present
arrangements are fundamental to the open plan
layout of the neighbouring properties. The current
fence is consistent with the building line of the
properties in Rowan Close. The property is
adjacent to the Beech Road Character Area in the
Horsham Town Design Statement in which the open
plan layout is identified as a significant and
important feature which the SPD says needs to be
protected. John Steele Secretary, Planning Sub
Committee |
